Which is true about forward voltage drop in a diode?
Pick an answer to check it.
Answer: A. It is lower in some diode types than in others
Forward voltage drop is the small voltage lost across a diode when current flows through it. It is a normal property of every diode, and its size depends on the type: for example, a Schottky diode usually drops less than a regular silicon diode. A drop does not mean the diode is bad.
Tip: Every diode drops some voltage; some types drop less.
