When using rectangular coordinates to graph the impedance of a circuit, what do the axes represent?
Pick an answer to check it.
Answer: A. The X axis represents the resistive component, and the Y axis represents the reactive component
In rectangular impedance plots, the X (horizontal) axis is resistance and the Y (vertical) axis is reactance. Inductive reactance plots up and capacitive reactance plots down.
Tip: R across, X up and down.
