What is the magnitude of the impedance of a parallel RLC circuit at resonance?
Pick an answer to check it.
Answer: A. Approximately equal to circuit resistance
In a parallel RLC circuit at resonance, the inductor and capacitor branches cancel and look like an open circuit. The impedance is then about equal to the circuit resistance, set by the parallel resistor.
Tip: Parallel resonance: LC looks open, R remains.
