Why should soldered joints not be used in lightning protection ground connections?
Pick an answer to check it.
Answer: A. A soldered joint will likely be destroyed by the heat of a lightning strike
A lightning strike produces enough heat to melt solder, which would destroy the joint and break the ground path. Lightning ground connections should use welded or crimped joints instead.
Tip: Lightning melts solder.
